Aquatic Resource Specialist

Garrat assists in the day-to-day monitoring and execution of Wildwood’s projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Tyler with an emphasis in stream ecology. He has extensive experience working with fish, aquatic macroinvertebrates, crayfish, and freshwater mussels, including state and federally listed species. Garrat assists in conducting habitat assessments, wetland studies, fish and macroinvertebrate surveys, and other field activities related to project planning, implementation, and monitoring. He is licensed in Texas to sample game and non-game fish species using various collection methods including electrofishing. Garrat also performs topographical surveying, 3D modeling, drafting and design work associated with stream and wetland restorations.
