Aquatic Resource Specialist

Garrat assists in the day-to-day monitoring and execution of Wildwood’s projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Tyler with an emphasis in stream ecology. He has extensive experience working with fish, aquatic macroinvertebrates, crayfish, and freshwater mussels, including state and federally listed species. Garrat assists in conducting stream surveys, habitat assessments, population studies, wetland delineations, fish and macroinvertebrate surveys, stream design, and other field activities related to project planning, implementation, and monitoring. He is licensed in Texas to sample game and non-game fish species using various collection methods including electrofishing.
